He recibido un mensaje de mi querido amigo y colega Yayo desde Canadá. Yves Laroche le ha dicho que la galeria ha sido victima de un fraude de un "artista" llamado Ariel Rodriguez, el que les ha vendido las impresiones de mi obra y los derechos a imprimir postales.

La galeria Yves Laroche ha parado la venta de Imagine, Yayo y Yves Laroche deben conversar dentro de poco y empiezo a creer que es verdad lo que dicen, entonces esperaré por los resultados de este encuentro.

Work of a cuban artist pirated in Canada

The Yves Laroche gallery placed in Montreal It is commercializing a work of the internationally well-known cuban artist Arístides Hernández Guerrero (ARES) violating his author rights and signed by another person “ARIEL?”. “Imagine” was created by Ares in the year 2002 as an acrylic on canvas painting of 1 m x 75 cms for an exhibition organized in the city of Cuneo in Italy. In Cuba several collections of T shirts were made from a photo of this work and in the year 2005 a series of silk screens and many other impressions in different supports.

Now this gallery offering the above mentioned image signed by a supposed author named “Ariel”?

Contacted the gallery by the cuban author they said that this work was sold to them by a spanish "artist" but they contribute neither information of contact of him or his personal information.

It will be possible that such a shameless this fraud happening in the city of Montreal and simply nothing happens?

Esta comercializando una obra del artista cubano Arístides Hernández Guerrero quien firma sus obras utilizando el pseudónimo Ares. La citada obra fue creada por Ares en el año 2002 como un lienzo de 1 m x 57 cms para una exposición realizada en la ciudad de Cuneo en Italia, a partir de una foto de esta obra se han realizado en Cuba varias colecciones de pullovers con dicha obra y en el año 2005 una serie de serigrafías e impresiones en otros soportes.
Ahora la galería esta ofertando dicha imagen firmada por un supuesto autor “Ariel”

Contactada la galeria por el autor cubano sus directivos refieren que esta obra les fue vendida por un “artista” español pero no aportan información de contacto del mismo ni sus datos personales.

¿Será posible que un fraude tan descarado este ocurriendo en la ciudad de Montreal y simplemente no pase nada?

With a collection of five cartoons I have won the First satire prize in the international contest "FAX FOR PEACE-FAX FOR TOLERANCE" organized in Spilimergo Italy. The award ceremony wild be held next month.

El caricaturista cubano Arístides Hernández Guerrero (Ares.) se llevó a casa el Primer premio de sátira del evento internacional "FAX FOR PEACE - FAX FOR TOLERANCE"
La ceremonia de premiación tendrá lugar el próximo día 5 de junio a las 11: 00 am en el auditorio del Instituto de Educación de Spilimbergo en Pordenone, Italia. La citada institución convoca en Italia desde el año 1996 a este concurso internacional en el que participan artistas de diferentes manifestaciones. En la edición previa de dicho certamen se presentaron unas 2000 obras procedentes de 44 naciones.
Fax for peace- fax for tolerance cuenta también con el patrocinio del presidente de la República italiana Giorgio Napolitano y el apoyo del Centro de Información Regional de las Naciones Unidas de Europa del Oeste, de la Comisión nacional italiana para la UNESCO y otras instituciones. El artista cubano Ares participó en la muestra con un envio de cinco dibujos de humor gráfico en los que aborda temas de la guerra, la tolerancia y el racismo a golpe de pura imagen en consonancia con el lema central del evento: “envíenos sus pensamientos y sus opiniones a través de imágenes”.
El jurado de este concurso en todas sus ediciones ha estado integrado por personalidades de las artes universales de gran renombre entre los que pueden mencionarse al actor mexicano Gael García Bernal, al director de cine español Pedro Almodóvar o el actor, cantante y comediante italiano Paolo Rossi."
